Actions
From our analysis we concluded that Westfield provides all the needs (shopping, leisure etc.) of both residents and non-residents of Burwood. However, many problems sprouted from its swift development such as congestion and public transport issues.
Actions that should be taken to change this include increased walkway space, more pedestrian crossings and if possible, wider roads and more entrances into the shopping centre. According to the survey, these actions would be the most preferred and efficient changes to the Westfield Shopping Centre public. Increased public transportation should also be considered, however it may also increase the congestion on the roads.

Petition
As everyone that goes to Westfield knows, the walkways towards the shopping centre can become extremely congested. The congestion of these side paths is detrimental to many as it poses a risk of people being shoved onto the road and into harm's way. The ever-increasingly population of Westfield-goers from both Burwood and outer-Burwood flock to the large shopping centre every day with around 13,300,000 people shopping there annually. As a result of this, it is important that we take action immediately and raise awareness for this incoming problem.
Our solution to this is to make a petition for road-side business blocks to be slimmed and for wider walkways to be build with the remaining area. This will allow more room for passer-bys to walk by, as well as allowing more customers to populate the road-side stores, so it's not a complete loss for them.
The target audience for this petition is for everyone possible, more preferably of voting age and above as they would have more authority and effect over the petition's voice. Our distribution method would be to call out to people in front of Westfield and stick petitions on posts around.
